Hyper-V performance

can someone tell me if there is noticable performance of VMs if Hyper-V is
use on 2008 Core installation vs. 2008 Full install?

Re: Hyper-V performance

Not materially different. Assuming you're only running the Hyper-V Role, and
not trying to do a bunch of other things in the Parent partition that you
shouldn't, they're both pretty close. The differences are in the resources
used. Core is probably about 384 Mb of memory, v. 512 for the GUI. And core
takes up less disk space. But the differences are fairly minor overall. The
advantages to Core are a smaller attack surface, and the liklihood of fewer
patches (and their attendent reboots.)
