| | Re: WSUS 3.0 SP1 Running as a Virtual Machine in Virtual Server 2005 Maybe the recommendation was related for avoiding the virtual disk to get really big. But there's no issue that you may find regarding to that, I've configured several times WSUS on virtual machines and had several GB of updates and no problem appeared. But, you should consider to use the clean up tool that comes with WSUS preiodically. This will delete old, superseded or unappliable updates that you downloaded previously. This will keep you virtual disk drive on a similar size all the time. Hope it helps Cheers -- augusto alvarez | it pro | southworks MCP - MCTS - MCITP DBA http://blogs.southworks.net/aalvarez "Dajo Rybski" <dajo.rybski@_REMOVETHIS_infohos.be> wrote in message news:OWy%23QHjWJHA.3920@xxxxxx Quote: > MyGposts wrote: Quote: >> On Dec 4, 4:34 pm, MyGposts <mygpo...@xxxxxx> wrote: Quote: >>> We have this set up running for the last 6 months and it seems to be >>> working fine. >>> We have about 30GB of updates stored in this virtual machine with no >>> problems, but I just read in another internet post that your should >>> not store the updates in the virtual machine. >>> >>> Should we expect problems and make changes? >> >> Does any one from this newgroup have any opinions on this? > I'm running the same setup (WSUS in VM on VS2005) without issues. > > Best > Dajo |
