| | Virtual Server Migration to a new host Hi guys, Sorry if this is a dumb inquiry. I have an existing Virtual server (windows 2003 standard edition) and i wanted to transfer it to new/powerful server host. I've copied the vhd and vnc file of the virtual server to the new host. I was able to configure the settings but i'm not able to ping the machine. The network connection on the virtual server says its connected. Anything that i miss out or is there a documentation i could follow to migrate virtual server. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks. Ymed |

The settings are specific to the host machine. I would only copy the .vhd and create a new vm using that existing vhd. |

| | Re: Virtual Server Migration to a new host Thanks but i already tried it. I only copy the vhd file and re-configure it on the host but it still i'm not able to ping. The previous host was on the same VLAN of the guest OS. However the new Server host is on a different VLAN. is it the cause of the problem? Thanks.
