| | Join Virtual PDC Hello to everyone, I would like to create a virtual network development and testing on a server W2K3 R2 SP2 64bits (RAM: 8GB) with VS2005R2. This virtual network includes 3 servers W2K3 R2 SP2 32bits and a client XP: VSPDC, VSSQL, VSMOSS and VSCLIENT. On each machine, I set up two network cards virtual: o A card connected to "external network" to join the corporate network and the Internet. o Another connected to "internal network" to connect the virtual machines between them. I deactive the card connected to the external network of all virtual machines to work only in the virtual network "DOMAIN.LOCAL." Once configured with the VSPDC AD role with its domain “DOMAIN.LOCAL"and added users and computers, I would join other virtual machines to the area managed by the VSPDC, but I get the following message: "A domain controller for the domain DOMAIN.LOCAL could not be contacted. " Is it someone can help me solve this problem? -- Cordialement |

If you want to give them access to the physical network and/or the Internet later you can install another vm to act as a router between the networks. I run my domain of vms on a private internal network and run a server 2003 with RRAS in a vm as a NAT router to the physical network. |
