| server 2003 enterprise | VM and Host on diffrent Subnets Hello, I have a dell poweredge 650 with server 2003 enterprise installed as the host OS. It also has three NIC cards installed. There is currently one VM running with server 2003 enterprise. This VM is tied to NIC card #2. The host system and the VM need to be on seprate subnets. I need the host OS to use NIC #1, and the VM to use NIC #2. I can not figure out how to prevent the host OS from having access to NIC #2. Thanks for any help |

| | Re: VM and Host on diffrent Subnets The VM NIC doesn't need an IP address assigned to it. Do this within the VM and not from the Host side and you should be fine. -- Ryan Sokolowski MVP - Clustering MCT, MCITP x3, MCTS x7, MCSE x2, CCNA, CCDA, BCFP "igoyette" <guest@xxxxxx-email.com> wrote in message news:6032d19d4a86e706ca4e5011cf34a799@xxxxxx-gateway.com...
