Hyper-V and Virtual DHCP Server

Hello,

I looked for a Hyper-V forum, but didn't find one. So, my apologies if this
is in the wrong forum.

In Virtual Server 2005, there was an option for a Virtual DHCP, which was
great for testing Operating systems in an isolated environment.

I'm moving over to Hyper-V, and do not see this option in the usual
location, (I'm using Virtual Machine Manager 2008 for my management). Is
there a Virtual DHCP server in Hyper-V, or am I blind and missing something?

Thanks,

Delf

Re: Hyper-V and Virtual DHCP Server

No, there isn't an option for a virtual DHCP server. If you need DHCP, add
the role to a server on the network.

Re: Hyper-V and Virtual DHCP Server

Charlie,

Thank you! At least I now know the option is not there and to quit looking
for it. I did as you described. Thanks again.

Nope, no built-in capabilities for DHCP like Virtual Server.
