| | Enabling Hyper-V prevents host restarting Hi Ive installed a 2008 Server host running Hyper-V on an ABIT35-PRO motherboard. The machine shutsdown fine and will restart if Hyper-V role is not installed but as soon as I install the role the machine will not restart - it stops all services and shuts down but then hangs with all the fans still running and the screen blank. If I shut it down it shuts down fine even with the role installed. Has anyone else seen this issue or can anyone suggest what to try to resolve it - I'd like to be able to restart the machine remotely if possible? Many Thanks Roger. |

| | Re: Enabling Hyper-V prevents host restarting Have you positively confirmed that this MB and the BIOS support Hyper-V from a hardware perspective? How about BIOS updates from ABIT? | | Re: Enabling Hyper-V prevents host restarting The motherboard supports hardware virtualisation and this is enabled. I tried a bios update and ended up having to replace the bios chip so dont want to try that route again for now. I thought I'd try the MS forums before asking ABIT.
