Memory on Windows 2003 Standard/VS

I understandand that Windows 2003 Standard only allows 4gb of Ram. I
was just wondering that if only 4gb is allocated to the host would I
still be able to use the remaining ram for my Virtual Servers or would
I have to upgrade to Windows 2003 Enterprise on the host before I can
allocate the remaining ram?

Thanks

Re: Memory on Windows 2003 Standard/VS

Virtual Server wont be able to see the RAM if the host operating
system doesn't, so yes, you'd need Enterprise to use more than 4G.

Or Windows Server 2003 x64 Standard Edition. The 64-bit Standard will see 32
GB of RAM. Of course, the OP's processor and environments will need to
support 64-bit.
