Hyper-V Server Update Problem

I'm using hyper-v server 2008 which is core server. This means my options
are limited and there is no GUI.

When I run option 6 to update Windows I find one update that needs to be
installed. The update is dialogue goes this way:

1> Windows Malicious Software Removal Tool x64 - January 2009 (KB890830)
Would you like to download and install updates now? (Y/N)

I select y for yes and get the following response in the cmd prompt:

Downloading updates...
Installing updates...
Listing of updates installed and individual installation results:
1> Windows Malicious Software Removal Tool x64 - January 2009 (KB890830):
Failed
Installation Results: Failed
Restart Required: False
Press return to continue...

I have restarted the server and even downloaded the KB to the C: drive and
executed it through the command prompt. I have stopped the Cryptographic
Services Service and renamed the Catroot2 folder rebooted. None of these
solutions have worked. Any suggestions?

-Jonathan

Re: Hyper-V Server Update Problem

Ignore the update. It's one that requires you to answer yes to a separate
EULA and that's what's causing the problem, almost certainly. Or, run in a
WSUS environment where you've pre-approved any EULAs.
