| | "Virtual Image Use Rights" and the ITANIUM platform: is there anycompetitive virtualization solution? I wonder if there is a competitive virtualization solution running on Windows Server 2008 Itanium Edition? Does anyone have experience with that? I ask myself what's the use of having unlimited "Virtual Image Use Rights" included in this special edition if there is no way to use it. Thorsten |

It is purely a licencing thing. If you have Enterprise Edition you can run a server OS on four virtual machines on that system without needing additional licences. |

But it's a nearby question if there is any virtualizing software for the ia64-platform. I'm primarly talking about data centre software. I can't imagine that someone uses Itanium-edition for testing purposes only. Thorsten |
