Virtual Server Admin Website problems

We are running Virtual Server 2005 R2 SP1.

When I reboot the physical machine I always have problems with the Virtual
Server Admin Website. The website will fail to load and displays a cgi
timeout error.

Once I needed to reinstall the virtual server application and another time a
few reboots fixed the problem, but it's a constant problem after a reboot and
makes me a bit scared to reboot the physical machine. I am not seeing any
services down.

The application log in event viewer:

Event Type: Error
Event Source: W3SVC-WP
Event Category: None
Event ID: 2216
Date: 1/14/2009
Time: 5:33:43 PM
User: N/A

Description:
The script started from the URL '/VirtualServer/VSWebApp.exe' with
parameters 'view=1' has not responded within the configured timeout period.
The HTTP server is terminating the script.

RE: Virtual Server Admin Website problems

Anyone have any ideas of what is causing this or what to try when it happens
again?

If you need the admin website to do admin work and it causes you
grief, then why not instead use VMRC+ (a free download from MS) to
manage the virtual server?
I did not even install the website on my installation because I had
Apache, not IIS. VMRC+ works just fine for my needs.
The management is simply an app you start and you work in its window,
no need to chain together a webserver with Internet Explorer and an
unknown number of plug-ins. Just start VMRC+, connect and start
working!
