| | MPIO we use HP iSCSI storage, in our config combination of windows 2003, HP MPIO software, MS iSCSI initiator works perfetly fine with HP dual controller. On these windows 2003 server we ave installed Virtual server 2005 and all VMs are stored on iSCSI SAN if failover happens all VMs are still up and ruuning. Now we'd like to move to Win 2008 with Hyper-V here is an issue, HP iSCSI SAN we use does not support Win 2008 OS which not a big deal because our testing shows that although not officially supported still works. So what is the issue? HP does not provide MPIO for iSCSI storage we use on Win 2008 x64 and one found on Win 2008 does not work, when failover occures we loosing connections to LUNs, actually LUNs are still presented and accesible via windows explorer but Hyper-V throes errors and VMs running in Hyper-V are crashing and in order to get it back we need to restart 2008 host. Does anyone knows if Hyper-V works with MPIO? |
