MSCS with Hyper-V

HEllo

Does anybody have any experience with using MS hyper-V in a MSCS
environment ?
If yes, is it working correctly, what are the improvements regarding MS
VS 2005 on MSCS ?

Re: MSCS with Hyper-V

Clustering and Hyper-V work very well together. Quick Migration leverages
cluster storage to move Virtual guests quickly. Clustering also allows you
to move guests quickly between hosts. Of course, the fundamental idea of
highly available systems is smoothly implemented.

Server 2008 R2 adds even more improvements with Cluster Shared Volumes and
Quick Migration.

Re: MSCS with Hyper-V

Agreed...the improvements made by the Clustering Team for Server 2008 R2 fit
Hyper-V like a glove. These two technologies are highly complimentary to
each other.

Re: MSCS with Hyper-V

Quick Migration (the name of the feature you described) is targeted for
Windows 2008 R2, currently in CTP/Public Beta testing. It only works on
clustered systems as the Cluster Shared Volume technology is part of the
underpinnings.
