new attached vhd loses static ip

Hi

Hyper-V:

A vhd with installed Windows and static ip loses the ip after the vhd was
copied on the commandline (copy . .) and reattached to a new virtual machine.
It was reattached to the same external virtual network. During a test-run,
there where no different machines in this virtual networks.
Do new attached vhds lose their ip to prevent dublicated ip addresses?
