lost vhd files - Hyper-V

Hi,

I lost the partition containing the original fixed size vhd files.
However, I have snapshots. A root snapshot and a big one.
I recreated the virtual machine, but if I try to use the edit disk wizard,
it pops up an error: "the chain of virtual hard disks is broken" and "the
system cannot locate the parent virtual disk'.

Is there any chance to recover the virtual machine?

Thanks

Re: lost vhd files - Hyper-V

No, without the base virtual hard disk the snapshot files cannot be used.

Cheers,
