| | Snapshot error on Hyper-V Hi Running snapshot on Windows 2008 ENT Hyper-V server for a VM, I'm getting the following error: An error occurred while attempting to take a snapshot of virtual machine Test. Taking a snapshot of 'Test' failed. The operation was passed an invalid parameter. It's strange, because the snapshot is actually taken, .avhd file is created, also all the changes are written to this file, but under Snapshots for this VM I don't see any snapshots created. Any ideas what could be wrong? Regards,Miha __________ Information from ESET NOD32 Antivirus, version of virus signature database 4299 (20090802) __________ The message was checked by ESET NOD32 Antivirus. http://www.eset.com |

| | RE: Snapshot error on Hyper-V Miha, Are you sure all the changes were written to the snapshot? Check to make sure you have space available on the LUN that is equal to the VM you are trying to snapshot. If you attempted to create a snapshot and there wasn't enough drive space available to complete the process, then you would have a avhd created that was populated with changes, but it would not be associated with the VM config.
