automatic stop action

Hi

I want to use the automatic stop action in Hyper-V manager.
I need to shutdown several virtual machines automaticly before shutting down
the host.
Can I be sure, that with "shutdown/s" on the core-version host, ALL virtual
machines are shut down PROPERLY, before the host is shut down?

RE: automatic stop action

Patrick,

As long as your virtual machines have the integration components installed
and the Virtual Machines Automatic Stop Action is set to "Shut down the guest
operating system" by using the Hyper-V Managment Console then the command to
shut down the server would first trigger the shut down of your guest
operating systems and then shut down the host itself.

Re: automatic stop action

Yes - I have a number of VMs configured this way in my home :-)
