| | cannot access USB devices from Window 2008 VM Hi, I installed Windows 2008 Hyper-V Manager and created Windows 2005 VM. But I could not see any USB devices from VM console even I plug USB drive. Does someone here help me to fix this issue? Thanks |

There are USB over Network solutions that might work, otherwise you'd need to go with something like VMWare Server for USB support. -- Cheers, Steve Jain, Virtual Machine MVP http://vpc.essjae.com/ |

| | Re: cannot access USB devices from Window 2008 VM As Steve points out, there is no support for USB devices inside a Hyper-V VM. That being said, I've had very good success with a pretty eclectic set of USB devices (iPods/iPhones to modems to large backup drives to webcams) with USB over Network from FabulaTech. It's not free, but it does work, IME. And you can download a single port trial copy to make sure it will work in your application. www.fabulatech.com. -- Charlie. http://msmvps.com/blogs/xperts64 http://mvp.support.microsoft.com/profile/charlie.russel "Michael" <Michael@newsgroup> wrote in message news:4575708B-CA6F-464D-8A1B-74CC51B9479F@newsgroup Quote: > Hi, > > I installed Windows 2008 Hyper-V Manager and created Windows 2005 VM.
