moved vhd, startup fails

Hi. I have virtual machines running under VS 2005 32 bit on Windows Svr 2003.
I shut down the vms and moved the vhds and vmcs to VS 2005 64 bit on Windows
Svr 2008. When I start the vms, the start up fails after about a minute. I
see the Windows splash screen, then the screen turns gray. No mouse pointer
appears, it won't answer a ping, and eventually the VMRC quits with "No
connection" or "Connection timed out".

I'm stumped.

Have you tried deleting the .vmc files and creating new vms using the
existing .vhd files?

Thanks for writing!

Yes, I did. I also stripped down the new vmc to the bare minimum. The
actually vm has two hard drives and two nics. Same symptom.
