Hyper-V Role

Installed Windows Server 2008 DataCenter on a machine with Dell BIOS settings:
Enable Vitualization Technology: On
Enable Multiple CPU Core Technology: On
Execute Disable Memory Protection Technology: On

When clicking Add Roles in Server Manager, Hyper-V Role is not in the list.
How come? Thanks.

Re: Hyper-V Role

Make sure and do a full power off of the server. When enabling
virtualization, a warm boot isn't enough.

That will cause Hyper-V to fail, or fail to install, it won't cause it not
to appear in the list of roles.

Ian, you need to check which SKU of Data Center you're using as there are 2
different SKUs. One with Hyper-V and one without. Sounds like you've got
the latter SKU.
