Vista - Win2K8 R2 Ic for Win2K3 VMs

Is there any know issue with installing/running Win2K3 VMs in Win2K8 R2
Hyper-V Server?

I upgraded my server to R2 last weekend, updated the ICs and restarted the
VMs.

If I insert the IC setup disk to VM today, it still says 'a previous
installation of hyper-v ic has been detected, click ok to upgrade..'

This appears to be "normal" for R2. It always prompts you to upgrade when it
sees a previous version, even if the previous version is the exact same
version.

Yes, you can easily check the version by looking at the driver versions. So,
open devmgmt.msc, and check the version of the Microsoft Virtual Machine Bus
Network Adapter. Driver version is: 6.1.7600.16385. Or, check the version in
the registry: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Virtual
Machine\Auto\IntegrationServicesVersion, with the same value.
