| | Hyper-V R2 Network Issues Okay, I'm getting rather aggrivated with R2. I've got two HVr2 boxes, clean slate. each has three NIC's: 1. VM nic 2. iSCSI (physically separated) 3. Management After I create the virtual network on 1. I can no longer connect to the box. It will ping but as soon as I try using HV manager to connect to it the pings start dropping. I've also tried this with just two nics. What's the deal? I'm not at all happy with R2 and wanted to install it at a client but not with the inconsistencies I keep seeing. thanks for any input you can share. |

| | Re: Hyper-V R2 Network Issues In order to enable the Network Discovery settings on 2k8 r2, you may make sure the following services are enabled and running. - DNS Client - Function Discovery Resource Publication - SSDP Discovery - UPnP Device Host Function Discovery Resource Publication. SSDP Discovery and UPnP Device Host services are disabled out of the box! i created a group policy autostarting all 4 services and it worked for me!
