VM Network Adapter Loses Static IP When moved to another Hyper-V S

I've been having a problem every time I move a VM to another Hyper-V Parent
server. When I move it and launch it, I notice that the static IP is gone,
and it switches to DHCP. The parent Hyper-V servers that I'm using have the
same Broadcom NICs, with the same driver installed. Has anyone encountered
this problem and if so, have you found a solution to this?

This happens because it sees the network card as new when it moves to a
different host. And, of course, the default behaviour for a new NIC is DHCP.
Do the Hyper-V Networks have the EXACT same name on both machines?

Yes, this is to be expected. Here is what you need to know...

Personally, in my lab I have had success hand editing the XML (not
supported), but I have also done it wrong and broken things as well.

I do edit the xml files sometimes
Some changes via manual editing is great and quick. as long as I make a
backup copy before edit, no worry.
