| | Some newbie Virutal Server questions Hi, all, I'm running Windows 7 (Pro edition) on my laptop. I wanted to run SharePoint 2007 on my laptop, and so I pulled down the MOSS 2007 VHD from Microsoft, and installed the latest version of Virtual Server. I'm able to launch Virtual Server and load SharePoint - while using VMRC. I have 2 questions: First, from my host operating system (using Win 7), can I simply open a browse windows and access the same Sharepoint Server that I currently access by using VMRC? (In other words, instead of opening VMRC and specifying vmrc://MyHostPC:5900/WIN03_MOSS, is there any way I can open a regular brower in my host enviornment and access the MOSS server inside the VM?) Second...if the Virtual Server has a SQL database inside it, can I use SQL Management Studio on the outside (in my host operating system) to access a database inside the virtual server? Thanks... |

Shut down the vm and modify the network settings to link through the physical NIC in the host. |
