Hi,

when trying to start the Virtual Server service via services.msc it doesn't
enter the running state and I get a messagebox saying that service Virtual
Server was started and then stopped.
In eventvwr.msc I see an error entry in the Virtual Server protocol saying
"One or more files from the Virtual Server installation are out of date.
Please reinstall Virtual Server and try again." (MessageID 1076).
About a year ago it was working ok.
What may have caused this problem?

Do as it suggests. Re-install Virtual Server. IME, this often fixes what
ails VS.
