hi everyone,
I am new to Hyper V. I would like to ask if I can run MS SQL (or any kind
sql) in Hyper V? Any known problems?
It is free with Windows 2008 right?
Thank you!

Can you run a SQL Server workload on a Hyper-V virtualized VM? Certainly.
Can you run SQL Server as a workload on the Hyper-V parent partition? Well,
technically, yes. But it's HIGHLY recommended that you do NOT do so.
Instead, keep the parent hyper-v partition as clean as possible, only
running the Hyper-V role on it, and use the +1 licensing of Server 2008 to
run your workload(s) in a virtual machine.
