How can I delete a "legacy" User?

I'd like to remove a "user" from a computer with Vista Home Basic (installed
by manufacturer) that I bought from the original owner. I haven't
been able to figure out how to do that.

I cleaned all of the of the original owner's files from the computer that I
could find, then installed MS Office Enterprise 2007 on the pc. There are
only 2 visible users on the start up screen: "Admin" and "Self".

When I log in as "Administrator" I find a User folder called "Frank" (a
folder icon with 2 people in front of it) in "Computer/c:/Users." The
folder is filled with the default/standard folder set.

I want "Frank" to go away!! Could someone please advise me on how to make
that happen?? By the way, I'm an average fellow, not a programmer. Please
be gentle.

In C:\Users do you see files for the "Self" account? It may be that the
original "Frank" account was renamed to "Self". You can rename an account,
but all of the files for that account will retain the original account name.

Also, what do you see when you open Control Panel / User Accounts. Click on
the 'Manage another account' option. Do you see a 'Frank' account there?

Re: How can I delete a "legacy" User?

Ronnie,

Thank you for your reply.

Re:
It's quite possible that I renamed the original "Frank" to "Self" but at
this point I just don't recall.

Re: Changing "Frank" to another name
I have attempted to rename existing "Frank," but I haven't been successful
using the Help tips, the "Change Name" feature, and the "change account type"
feature.

Re: Control Panel view
I see only Admin in bold (the name I assigned it), listed as an
Administrator and it is PW protected. When I click on "Manager another
account" is see three Users: Admin, ASP.NET (standard user, password
protected--I have no idea how it got pw protected), and Guest (turned off).
"Self" has disappeared. I have identity crisis.

More info:
The only place I see "Frank" is in Windows Explorer, where it is nested
inside User on C:. I can't change its name there, either. Documents I've
created and saved show up in "Frank"\Documents.
