| | Roaming User Profiles - Domain Server Setup Hello: I have a small office environment with five new Vista Ultimate computers and a Netgear NAS. Sometimes it is necessary for somebody to log into a different computer and they would like their desktop, favorites, cookies, documents folders, etc. to be available to them. My understanding is the best way to do this is with a Roaming User Profile. But to use the Roaming User Profile, I need to operate in a Domain and therefore need a Domain Server. Is there a simple way to set this up without investing in Windows Server? I know I can get part of the way there using folder redirect, but would like to have all the benifits of a Roaming User Profile. Thanks very much in advance for any help. -- Thanks, Jeff |

| | Re: Roaming User Profiles - Domain Server Setup Hello, as far as I'm informed correctly, a domain is the requirement for a domain-wide logon -> Roaming profile, so you would need a Windows server. Please feel free to correct me if I'm wrong. Greetings, P.
