| | Password problem with Vista Help. I changed the default login on my daughters Vista laptop and type to standard user, and I created a new Admin account with Admin rights for me. After creating both and creating adding a new password for the Admin account I can no longer log in as Admin. At the OS login, the Admin account immediatly comes up with a message that a new password must be created for the first time login (???). and attempting to swith users to the Admin when I was logged in on my daughters user account does not accept the password that I know I created for the Admin account. There are no other Admin accounts on the machine (in fact the Asp.net Machine account that was there has disappeared). |

| | Re: Password problem with Vista Hello, if there's nothing that helps, start Vista in Safe mode (press F8 before Windows starts). Then, you should be able to logon with the in-built account named Administrator (which doesn't accept a password by default). Then, change your passwords. I hope this will work for you. Please report back if it did. Greetings, P.
