| | public desktop Recently had some problems with my kids going to internet sites they shouldn't have so I set up a user profile for each of them with parental controls to the max. I was also hoping to keep all of their games and music seperate, different ages, different intrests. How do I discontinue the public desktop. I dont want a game that my kids load showing up on my desktop or vise verse any help would be appreciated -- kevin |

| | Re: public desktop Hi Kevin, A lot of programs install automatically for all users, hence their shortcuts will be on the Public Desktop. If you navigate to here, you can remove the shortcuts: C:\Users\Public\Desktop Then you can recreate the appropriate shotcuts on the individual users desktops: C:\Users\Username\Desktop -- Jane, not plain 64 bit enabled :-)Batteries not included. Braincell on vacation ;-) MVP Windows Shell/User "kevin" <kevin@xxxxxx> wrote in message news:E6F0089B-6A8A-466C-BCD4-CE0FC5D47CB0@xxxxxx Quote: > Recently had some problems with my kids going to internet sites they > shouldn't have so I set up a user profile for each of them with parental > controls to the max.
