HELP PLEASE

HI

HI , I JUST HAD WINDOWS VISTA INSTALLED AT BEST BUY, THEY PUT IN CODE FOR
WINDOWS VISTA I PURCHASED BUT I WAS SEACHING FOR MY VIDEO CARD TYPE AND I
BUMPED INTO A PAGE THAT HAD A STATEMENT THAT SAID I HAD TO PUT NEW CODE IN 27
DAYS BECAUSE IT DOESN'T KNOW THE ONE THAT IS THERE? WHAT DO I NEED TO DO OR
SHOULD I IGNORE THIS

Hi,

It is just telling you that you need to activate Vista within 27 days before you will be in Reduced Functionality Mode. This will show you how to activate Vista.

Call Best Buy. It sounds like they neglected to activate the system before
returning the computer to you. You may need to complete the activation.

I DID CALL THEM AND THEY SAID TRY UPGRADE, IT DIDN'T WORK. I BOUGHT IT BUT
THEY TRYIED INSTALLING AND IT DIDN'T WORK. SO THEY USED A FULL VERSION THEY
HAD . AFTER THEY NUKED SYSTEM. I HAD A RECOVERY DISK FOR XP AND I HAVE
UPGRADE FOR VISTA( THAT I OWN BECAUSE ITS OPEN )THEY SAID AFTER INSTALLING
THEY DIDN'T GET THE WARNING I GOT TODAY . BUT SAID I OWN WHAT GETS OPENED. SO
NOW I NEED TO BUY A FULL VERSION? FOR THE CODE. WHT WON'T IT TAKE WINDOWS XP
CODE AND UPGRADE CODE(VISTA) I NEED A FULL VERSION . IT WORKS GREAT BUT I
ONLY HAVE 27 DAYS LEFT

Since Best Buy botched your install by not activating it for you, you will need to finish the job for them.

Since you have a Upgrade version of a Vista product key number, start at step 17 in this tutorial. Best Buy did steps 1 to 16 for you. When you finish, activate Vista with your product key number from your Upgrade Vista installation DVD.

Clean Install From Upgrade Vista
