Vista - Administrator account

Hi, I'm using an HP pc, running XP Pro.
I am practicing seting up a small business network and at that time decided
to set up a user account, I gave this account administrative status. In
doing so Administrator is no longer an option on the welcome screen. That is
where all of my settings are and my contacts,etc. Now it will not let me
delete the new account that I set up in order to get back to the original
administrator.
Does anyone have a suggestion as to how I log on as adminsitator or delete
the new account?

Okay - this newsgroup is for Vista, not XP - but anyway...
Theres a lot of differences in the way the Administrator acts for the two
OS's.
Are you sure, you just havn't deaktivated the Administrator.
In that case , it will not appear on the Welcome-screen, but it will still
be in User-Account.
Open Controlpanel>Useraccounts - and aktivate the Administrators account..

If its not that, then make a new administratoraccount.
After that, you copy alle the folders and files from the old [c:\Documents
and settings\[Administrator-name]\...] to the new [Administrator-name] and
you should be up. Then you can delete the old[Administrator-name] from
Documents and Settings.

I've just seen on my XP - that the administratoraccount will only be shown
if there is no other accounts except for the Guestaccount.

So here is what to do:

Go to the startbuttom - click it and choose run.
Then you write: control passwords2 - and enter.

Now you will have a screen with the users.
Mark the new user you made and be sure that the box "users might use
username ...etc, is checked.
Go to "Properties" for the user, and then the tab "GroupMembership" and
set your user as guest instead of administrator.
I've tried it - it works
Now, you should have your administrator back on the welcomescreen
