Vista - Black screen after user profile selection

Windows home premium (came installed on new computer purchase) user account
screen displays fine, when one of the user profiles is selected the screen
goes black with mouse cursor and hangs (never loads to user desktop) tried
all three accounts and all accounts were originally configured as
administrator. Tried booting with F8 and selecting last known good
configuration but still has the same issue at user account screen. HOW ARE
YOU SUPPOSED TO USE A SYSTEM LESS THAN 2 MONTHS OLD WITH THIS KIND OF PROBLEM

Are you sure, the users folders for the user are still in C:\users and not
damaged?
All you have to do, is to delete that user, and if you need the user, create
a new.
When its done, copy the old userfolder (if they are not infected) to the new
user and delete them.
