Permission needed to delete several hundred files/folders

Install of a software program (itunes) went bad in the middle. Neither a new
install, nor an uninstall would solve my problem, so I went about deleteing
the folders and files. BUT, there were several hundred files in a couple of
dozen folders that will not let me delete them UNLESS I slowly take owner
ship of each file, then give me all permissions on that file, then delete it.
When I finally delete all the files in a folder, I can then take ownership
and permissions of the folder and delete it.

Is there a faster way to do this? I'd like to save the several hours of
mouse clicking.

Hi QBKen,

You can add "Take Ownership" to the context menu. It will take ownership with one click. Plus, when you use it on a folder, it will take ownership of all the files and subfolders within that folder. This will show you how.

Context Menu - Take Ownership
