Hi Jeziel,

This will show you how to reset the password so you can gain access again. You may need to do METHOD THREE.

Reset User Account Password

Re: password recovery

Thanks for your answer Brink... The warning of that site about this tool is:
"If you reset the password using the tool below, the user account will lose
access to its encrypted files, e‑mail messages that are encrypted, and stored
passwords for websites or network resources."

How could it damage the sistem if I use this tool?

Thanks

Jeziel,

If you have a home or office computer network setup, the user account password is used to connect with the other computers connected to your computer (not internet). Since using the tool will clear the password, you will need to change the password again on your network computers before you can connect back to them. This can easily be done by giving your user account the same password you used before on the network computers again.

If you encrypted (EFS) any files or folders in your user account, you will lose access to them when resetting the password for that user account unless you backed up the EFS encryption certificate. If you did, then you can simply restore it afterwards to have access to to encrypted files again.

If you do not have a home or office computer network or encrypted any files or folder, then you have nothing to worry about with the Warning.

Hope this helps,
Shawn
