Administrator alert message

I am constantly getting the message to log on as administrator. I AM LOGGED
IN AS THE ADMINISTRATOR. I now cannot download files that I need.

RE: Administrator alert message

Hi Aloha.

First - you are NOT logged on as administrator - Thats the Vista way.
She (Vista) logs you on as a standard user, and every time you have to use
admin-rights, she prompts you.
And why can't you download, are you using a "Downloader"
If you are, start it by right-clicking, choose "Run as administrator" and
then you will not be prompted.
Goes for every program, that will need admin-rights.

Should solve your problem.

RE: Administrator alert message

I'm having the same problems (trying to add printer driver and software) and
I am logged in on the administrator account (i went into safe mode and did
the run,cmd command thing to turn on administrator account because it seems
like my regular account got some kind of glitch). Even running as
administrator, the printer software won't run....still says can't "run as",
that I should sign out and then sign back in as administrator. Something
happened to my computer in the last week or so and messed up the
administrator permissions....I think.
