Vista - my limewire wont connect due to a firewall, limewire says contact system admin.

i have run limewire on my windows vista supported laptop before, but i have
recently moved away to college and now i use the campus supported internet
connection. when i try to open and use my limewire it doesnt fully connect,
only showing one bar and stating "still connecting". the globe next to the
bars states that limewire is behind a firewall, i have taken off all
firewalls and added limewire to my firewall exempt list and i still get the
same thing. the only thing left to do it says is to contact my system
administrator...i need help, music is my life..

Hi,

The systems administrator at your college campus has probably locked the
network down to prevent users accessing P2P applications such as Limewire.
You would need to ask the college IT department if they have such policies
in place.

It is unlikely that they would allow any exceptions.
