having problems connecting to win 2000 server using vista

I am using the admin pak on vista to connect to 2003 servers and it works
fine.
same admin pack i use on an xp machine to connect to both 2000 and 2003
servers.
however, when i try to connec to my DHCP server (running 2000 server)
something goes wrong.
has any one else had this problem? or have a solution for this problem?
