i had alot of trouble signing in to my comuter today(took me 30 minutes). it
kept saying unable to sign int messenger and the troubleshoot button would
appear. when i tried to toubleshoot, i kept getting the error message
0x80070005. i have had trouble signing in before but whenever i clicked on
the troubleshoot button, it fixed itself. can someone tell me what is
wrong(besides my lack of computer skills)?

Re: signing in

Hi Reg,

The LiveID service is experiencing problems at the moment. If you try to
sign in to Windows Live Messenger, Hotmail, or anything that is using
LiveID, it will fail.

Keep trying. Hopefully it will get fixed soon.

I suspect that you have Messenger set to autostart with Windows, and
automatically log you on to it. This failure of Messenger to login won't
affect your use of the computer.

Re: signing in

Hi Reg,

As Jane mentioned, the LiveID service has been experiencing some problems.
I am pleased to say that these problems seem to have been resolved and the
service is once again running normally - at least where signing in to the
discussion groups is concerned.

RE: signing in to pc

There is more information on your problem here -

The User Profile Service failed the logon. User profile cannot be loaded.
