| | No admin... why??? I have windows vista home prem. I had an account setup for my daughter and then an account setup for me. I was the admin and my daughter is a standard user. Now we are both standard users for some reason and there is no admin and I can't do anything. Why is this and how can I fix? Thanks |

Thanks See if you can boot into Safe Mode: Safe Mode and change your account type back to an administrator using Method Two here: User Account Type If this does not work, then try enabling the Buil-In Admnistrator account while in Safe Mode, then logoff Safe Mode and logon to the new Administrator account. While in this account, change your old account back to a administrator type account. Administrator Account Hope this helps, Shawn |

| | Re: No admin... why??? David Read the message directly above yours from Brink. If there are no administrator accounts on the system, you need to start in safe mode. This will allow you to log on with the Built-In Administrator account. Once you are logged in, you can change your account back to an administrator account. -- Ronnie Vernon Microsoft MVP Windows Desktop Experience "David" <David@xxxxxx> wrote in message news:83011517-FB5F-43AC-92FB-B00F5F5721BB@xxxxxx Quote: > > -- > David > > > "kmf13" wrote: > Quote: >> I have windows vista home prem.
