| | User Account Mass Confusion Ok, as everyone else, new computer, Vista was already installed on the computer. I originally setup my account as an administrator. Once I found out that Vista would not let me run some applications as an administrator I setup a standard user as well. Somehow, I changed my main account to standard and the new user is the administrator. Vista will not let me switch users. I have tried the swith users function but my standard user is the only one that comes up on the login screen. Why can I not see the other user I setup? Also, this computer is for home use, can you just deactivate the whole security thing? Microsoft was to clever for their own good on this one. |

See if you can restart the computer and logon to your current Administrator account and use Method Two in this tutorial to change the account type for your other account back to a Administrator account again.
