User Profile Issue

I just returned home from a 4 day trip. When I got home, I turned on the
computer and logged into my account. The screeen read :Preparing your
desktop" and when it came up, it was a different desktop with none of my
icons, folders, etc. All my stuff is still on the computer and it looks as
though I'm logged in but it's a completely different profile, not the same
programs, etc. Anybody run into this? The only thing I did w/ user
accounts, before I went, I created another user account for my wife (not
admin). She never used it and I deleted the account while attempting to
resolve this. Any help wil be most apreciated! Thanks

Hi Jack and Pravesh,

Did you notice if you recevied this error message before it loaded you into a temporary account:

"Your user profile was not loaded correctly! You have been logged on with a temporary profile.

Changes you make to this profile will be lost when you log off. Please see the event log for details or contact your administrator."

If so, then this may be able to help you.

User Profile Error - Logged on with a Temporary Profile
