| | RE: User accounts - renaming Issue. Sorry I don't have an answer only the same problem. I bought a laptop that was a display model. The admin account was a long number. I would have changed the account name to mine but the folders are still the long number. There must be some solution, my searches so far have not revealed an answer only a large number of people that want to do the same thing. If not a simple rename there must be a procedure to accomplish this. I would settle for the simple way XP remapped My Documents. How about set up a new admin account, logon to it, Remove the first one. The system will offer you to keep the files before removing the account. The only thing you'll lose is e-mail messages. |
