Vista - Lost my logon password fingernprint logon still working

Hi,
I have been using vista home premium since jan 2008, unfortunately while
playing around i changed my vista password for the only account on my HP
laptop which i dont remember now. the fortunate thing is that i can still
logon using the finger print reader into the only account which is an
administrative account.I would be happy if anyone could suggest me how to
reset my password. i dont have a password restore disk.

Reboot the laptop, tapping on the F=11 Key.
Do full restore from the backup partition on your hard disk. The laptop will
be restored to out of box, factory fresh settings.
Of course, any specific settings and programme materials you have installed
will be wiped out. Take the time to actually do a full backup before

Then go in and set your administrator account user-name and password again,
this time taking time to either simply writing down the information of
making a backup usb file or backup disk of the information.

There is much easier way than doing a full restore as "Art" suggested.

Log in to your primary account using your finger print.
Create a NEW ADMINISTRATOR ACCOUNT (control panel>User accounts)
Log out of your primary account (the one you used your finger print to log in to)
Log in to the NEW ADMINISTRATOR ACCOUNT that you just made
Get back to the User Accounts screen
Select the account you want to remove the password for, and then click remove password.

Next time you log on, you won't have a password. You can add one after logging on either in the User Accounts screen, or by ctrl+alt+delete and then clicking change password.
