Re: Still have not received an e-mail for RC1

I got my email yesterday, downloaded and installed over xp. no problems at
all!!! RC1 is a winner, even had all the drivers included. Now if I could get
rid of those icon arrows....

RE: Still have not received an e-mail for RC1

I registered for the beta2 CPP and installed & activated Beta2 back in June.
I have still as of 9/11/06 received an email from MS inviting me to RC1.

I did not get an email inviting me to download the pre-RC1 either.

What gives? I'm still getting my Technet newsletters.

Re: Still have not received an e-mail for RC1

I hadn't received a key by the 15th so I wrote MS and got a mail with the new
(different from B2) download address for RC1 and a confirmation that I could
use the B2 key for RC1 as well. Later same day (coincidence?) I received an
"independent" (in my native language) mail with my key for RC1 (different
from my B2 key). I guess both works?!

If you think RC1 is a winner, wait till you download the newest Public
build of RC1 -- Build 5728. It is almost solid "gold', its so good.
Still suffers from a lack of drivers, though. But I'm sure more and
more developers and manufacturers will begin to release drivers and
software with this release. It's really close to RTM.

I have it installed exclusively on my Intel iMac, and it runs like a
charm. Smooth and sweet!

Download the Public Build 5728, and make your RC1 experience twice as
nice...

It's available for download for all who are part of the Vista CPP.
Just use your Beta 2 keys.

Donald
