| | Volume activation service failure Not sure if this is the right place, but I try here. My company has a volume license agreement and I'm (as the only one) testing Vista. Today I got the following error: [Window Title] Volume activation service failure [Main Instruction] The Key Management Service does not have enough computers registered at this time. [Content] If you continue to see this error message contact your system administrator or technical support department for assistance. [Close] Any ideas what's wrong? |

| | Re: Volume activation service failure It means what it says - KMS has a minimum number of Vista copies that must be active and you are below that minimum. | Windows 2008 x64 | Re: Volume activation service failure I just had the same issue under W2K8. Open the "control panel\system" and re-introduce your product key using the link "Change product key". If necessary use the phone activation, it works fine. Regards, Williwaw |
