Volume activation service failure

Not sure if this is the right place, but I try here.

My company has a volume license agreement and I'm (as the only one) testing
Vista.

Today I got the following error:

[Window Title]
Volume activation service failure

[Main Instruction]
The Key Management Service does not have enough computers registered at this
time.

If you continue to see this error message contact your system administrator
or technical support department for assistance.

Any ideas what's wrong?

Re: Volume activation service failure

It means what it says - KMS has a minimum number of Vista copies that must
be active and you are below that minimum. Contact your VL supplier or MS
dealer for options.

Re: Volume activation service failure

I just had the same issue under W2K8.

Open the "control panel\system" and re-introduce your product key using the link "Change product key". If necessary use the phone activation, it works fine.
