rcp.exe missing in Windows Vista Business

Hi All,

I have used Windows XP Professional a lot and am totally new to Windows vista.

I have bought a new laptop which came pre-installed with windows vista
business.

I tried using rcp to copy over some files but it always says rcp: command
not founsd. I looked in c:\Windows\System32 and there is no rcp.exe file
there.

Is rcp.exe in some other location.

Re: rcp.exe missing in Windows Vista Business

Never heard of RCP.EXE - could you be looking for ROBOCOPY.EXE instead?

Re: rcp.exe missing in Windows Vista Business

rcp.exe file in Windows XP is used for remote file copy. Basically to copy
files from one host to another. Basically I need to copy some files from a
unix machine to a windows machine.

Can robocopy do this?
