Windows Password

Here is the situation:
Mother got daughter laptop
Mother put in her name/password (presumably) upon initial boot
Laptop turned on/off (cold) several times with no problems
Daughter changes the name -does nothing with password
Now upon startup she is asked for a password (never happened before) and the
password that her mother initially used is not working.
Machine is asking for a password for the daughter's name not mothers
help

Re: Windows Password

You wouldnt happen to have something like a window password reset disc would
you?

If you have 100% no way to reset your password, use this site. There is a
iso that will reset your windows password. (is your administrator account
enabled? It doesnt appear in safe mode)
It will work with any vista version (I used it before.)

Re: Windows Password

Are there any other accounts(Admin) on the computer?
If not you can probaly find a iso that will change/blank your windows
password.

The administrator account on vista is not activated by default
