| 32bit (I guess) | Parental Controls which just won't give up Hi, I noticed parental controls already led to a lot of discussions on this forum. However I didn't find my problem. I copied a game folder of my old computer (which had windows XP, so that might not be good). Now, when I start the game it doesn't tell me it doesn't work, no, it tells me that Parental Controls have prevented this application from running. Here's the weird thing though: 1 I am administrator, so I cannot even apply Parental Controls. 2 I completely disabled parental controls, so that pop-up has no right to be there! Does anybody now how to deal with parental controls on games they did not put on it but still appear even though the service has been disabled? |

| | RE: Parental Controls which just won't give up Hi Renske, Just a thought, have you tried to right click on the executable and select run as admin. I know that you shouldn't have to do this but I'm curious if that works. John "Renske" wrote: Quote: > > Hi, > > I noticed parental controls already led to a lot of discussions on this > forum. | 32bit (I guess) | Re: Parental Controls which just won't give up Hi, Well thanks for the suggestion, I didn't know that function existed, but alas, it does not solve my problem. It just is not supposed to be there at all, so I guess I'll remove it, or find an other way to play the game. Bye |

| | RE: Parental Controls which just won't give up Did you find out how to turn off parental controls. I forgot my password and I can't cancel anything. I do not even have children. Somehow I received a control called PureSigt. They want a password also and an administrative password. I don't remember doing any of this.
