| | login password I was given a laptop with vista os. When I boot it up it comes up with the old users name and he does not know what the password is. Is there any way to bypass that or reset the password. |

| Vista x64 Ultimate SP2, Windows 7 Ultimate x64 | Re: login password Hi Mike, If you do not have access, then the best thing to do is to format and do clean reinstall since you do not know what might all be installed on a used computer. If you have another administrator account that you have access to, then you can simply remove the password for that account from User Controls in the Control Panel (Classic View), or delete the account and create another one. Hope this helps, Shawn |
